new india insurance co has to pay claim amount with Rs.3000/ legal expances & mental agony

Depesh S. Mehta, Res.of Bajwada, Baroda given one complian against The New India Insurance co.Ltd.bcoz the co was not ready to pay mediclaim amount of Rs.17928/- for the treatment of his daughter Aastha... Aastha admited in the hospital for treatment dated from 10/09/06 to 13/09/06...they paid hospital bill & other medicines expances of above amount. but after cliam that amount...the insurance co..rejected that claim for showing reson of Pre-existing diseases...so our organisation filled Depesh Mehtas complian in Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum, Vadodara..after the trial. the oppnants failed to prove that Aastha was suffering from any pre-existing diseases...so the Prseident of Vadodara forum Shri P.O.Lad & Member Smt. Varsha Desai given judment dated on 09/12/2009..& directed opponant to pay claim amount of Rs.17928/- with 9% intrest..& Rs.3000/- for mental agony & legal expances within 2 months.

    Sir, I took a I-term policy from Aegon Religare Life insurance online on 16.12.09. I also paid the premium online(Rs.3541 for 15 lakh insurance) as this policy can only be purchased from internet. They send a representative of their to take by blood and other tests at home on 2.1.2010 after which they said that they would give the policy if everything is ok. After 4 days they asked my medical reports etc of last years. Now on 8.1.10 i got a call from their UV department saying that i need to pay rs.231 more as while doing all the above things, i have advanced one more year of my birthday. My birthday falls on 17.12.09.(17.12.1976 is my year of birth)

    Pls tell is it to ask me to pay the additional amount?
